Surprise for new Mums on International Day of the Midwife

 

As we celebrate International Day of the Midwife today,  we want to take a moment to thank midwives around the world for the amazing work they do. To show our gratitude and appreciation, for the third year running, we popped along to Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey armed with boxes full of our organic muslin swaddles for the midwife team to gift to new Mums today and over the coming days.

Muslin swaddles are an essential tool for newborns and their parents.  Made from a lightweight and breathable fabric, muslin swaddles help to keep babies comfortable and secure without overheating them as they transition into the world outside of the womb. They provide a cozy environment that mimics the feeling of being in the womb, and they can help to prevent startle reflex, which reduces sleep interruptions and keeps babies well rested.  You'll wonder how you ever managed without them! Frimley Park Maternity Unit holds a special place in our hearts here at Bloomsbury Mill as not one, but five of our Bloomsbury Family babies were delivered there.
